Whether it’s a long-lost starship, a box of treats, or that mug you swear was on your desk five minutes ago — if it’s useful, shiny, or “abandoned,” they’re on it.
Their mission statement?
“If it used to be yours, get over it.”
It’s not theft.
It’s culture.
Finder leads the pack, with Careful right behind (usually threatening to take your stuff by force). Every member of the Long Bone has their own unique approach to claiming abandoned items — or, at least, items they assume were abandoned. Possession is 9 points of the law and if there are a suitable number of light years between you and the person who claims it was theirs then who is going to argue?
If you leave your valuables out in Kind space, don’t be surprised if you hear a bark, a snort, and a suspicious squeaking sound as your valuables become their valuables.
